Digital Radiography (x-rays)
Digital radiography is a form of x-ray imaging. Digital x-ray sensors are used instead of traditional photographic films. When using this process there is less radiation utilized to produce the image (tooth image).
Nitrous Oxide – Laughing Gas
also known as “laughing gas”. At room temperature it is odorless, colorless, and non flammable, with a slightly sweet taste. It is used in dentistry for its anesthetic and relaxation of patient’s during dental treatment. It causes a profound state of happiness combined with an overwhelming sense of contentment effect on the patient during treatment. This is considered as conscious sedation. The patient is awake during the entire dental treatment. The patient may drive themselves home after their appointment.
Zoom Whitening (Power Whitening)
This process is widely used throughout the country. The process is 45 minutes excluding the time of picture taking before and after treatment and fabrication of trays to do further whitening at home. Tooth discoloration may result from drinking coffee, teas, cola, red wines, smoking, or due to the aging process.
Intra-oral Camera System
These small cameras are in every room and are used to magnify the view from inside your mouth and display it on a chairside monitor. Watching this monitor allows you see what the dentist is seeing.
Diagnodent Laser System
The Diagnodent Laser System is used for detecting carious lesions (cavities) that are not detected manually by the hand instrument used by most dentists.
Cerec – CAD/CAM
Cerec – CAD/CAM is the epitome of modern dentistry. In two (2) hours you can have a crown (cap) in most cases). There are no temporaries, and no need for a second appointment. The crown is a precise fit. Cerec CAD/CAM delivers durable natural looking crowns in a short time. You do not need to take those gooey impressions (molds of your mouth), touchy temporary and ill-fitting permanent crowns because cerec CAD/CAM uses digital images so you can get a precise fit. The crowns, inlays, or onlays are metal free, so you can see in the mirror that is has a natural tooth color. With proper care and good oral hygiene, the life of a crown is 5 to 15 years.
